Where to Eat Near the Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid

In Madrid for a concert or a match at the Metropolitano — officially the Riyadh Air Metropolitano — or just landed at Barajas and after a proper meal rather than another terminal sandwich? Hatillo is a modern Spanish restaurant in Las Rosas, a 20-minute walk from the stadium, where we cook everything to order.

A 15-minute walk from the stadium

We're about 1.6 km from the Metropolitano — roughly a 15-minute walk. Have an early dinner with us, then stroll up to the show: no car, no parking, no queues. After an afternoon match, or a Friday or Saturday concert, you can also come down afterwards and still sit down to a real dinner.

Coming from Barajas airport

Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas airport is 8 to 11 km away by road, depending on the terminal: about 10 to 15 minutes by taxi or Uber without traffic. If you want a first or last proper meal in the city, close to the airport but far from the food courts, this is an easy stop on the way in or out of Madrid.

What we cook

Gourmet burgers built on dry-aged beef and wagyu, homemade croquettes, salmon tartare and plenty of sharing plates — a modern Spanish kitchen with Nikkei, Mexican and Belgian touches. Expect around €25–40 per person. There's a terrace for the warm months, we're family- and dog-friendly, and you can pay by card or cash.

Food and drink near the Riyadh Air Metropolitano

Inside the Estadio Metropolitano you'll find the usual stadium food — quick, queued for, and eaten standing up. Fifteen minutes away on foot there's an alternative: a table, a kitchen that cooks your order when you place it, and enough time to finish your plate before kick-off. That's the whole difference.

For drinks, we pour Estrella Galicia and La Sagra alongside a list of Spanish and international wines. We don't do cocktails — a short drinks list done well beats a long one done badly. On Fridays and Saturdays the room stays open until 1am, so there's no rush to finish after a late show.

Staying at an airport hotel?

Most of the airport and trade-fair hotels are clustered around Barajas and IFEMA, a short taxi ride from our door. By road, the ILUNION Alcalá Norte is 3.3 km from us (about 5 minutes), the NH Madrid Barajas Airport 5.8 km, the Hilton Madrid Airport 7.6 km and the Marriott Auditorium 10.7 km, around a quarter of an hour without traffic. If you've had two nights of hotel dining and a conference buffet, this is where the locals eat instead.

Before or after the show

We open for dinner at 8:30pm, so there's time for an early table before the doors. Last orders in the kitchen are 11pm Tuesday to Thursday and on Sundays, and 11:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays; the room stays open until midnight, and until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays. If you're cutting it fine, ring us and we'll tell you whether you'll make it rather than have you arrive to a closed kitchen. We're closed on Mondays.

Walk-ins are welcome, but booking is recommended on match and concert days.
